Hello, and Happy Easter!! Here's just some highlights of the last few weeks/days.
It's been almost 2 weeks since I've been on this blog. (opps).
First I would like to say Happy Birthday to my little brother (april 17). We had our up's and down's while growing up (but didn't we all with our little siblings? play really well, then fighting the next?) But now since we're older Im glad to have you as my little brother. You have grown up into a wonderful boy ( I know you're 20 your still a boy you will eventually become that "man". ) So Happy Late birthday shout out.
Second- Cole Williams (meredith's baby) Why aren't you here yet?! We are all waiting for you to come, your late!! If you knew better you would show up now so your parents can stop waiting for you and can start loving on you!! So good luck to Meredith and Scott! I know you will be great parents when he decides to show up!!
Third- Congrats to Tiana and Bill on their engagement! Im very happy for you two to get married! :) You guys seem so happy, and Im hoping for many many happy years ahead!!
Fourth- Happy one month birthday to my little "niece" Faith! I can't believe she's already a month old! Which reminds me I probably should drive that 2 hr drive to see her again, it's been 3 weeks since I've seen her. I bet she's just growing so big!!
fifth- Congrats to Emily and Robert! Your wedding was really pretty, and you both look very happy! I wish you two the best!! And many many years of happiness! Communication is key, listen, and smile!! :)

here's more updates:
Soccer has been amazing! I have been getting better! :) Last week I scored one goal (which was awesome) And this past friday I scored 2 more! And we even tied 5-5!!
SO last saturday night I went to Emily's bachlorette party. It was very low key, opened some gifts, shared some information, ate food, and hung out with a drink.
Then I went to Tiana -Bill engagement party. It was more loud, but it was a good time!!
So this past week I allergies kicked in. My mom and Paul both were like I dont think your sick, I think you have allergies since your always sick this time of year. So I bought some allergies medicine and it seemed to work. My nose is still stuffy but oh well. I believe its' from the Japanese cherry trees.
Since my breathing hasn't been 100%, I haven't been able to run . :( it's been a week. I only ran 2.5 miles on the treadmill. GOSH I have a half marathon june 5 whyu in the world didn't I run all week???? So this week, and to june 10, I will be running! Ask me "alyssa have you ran today?" I think I need people to push me. I know since i sign up for a race I thought I would push myself. This week off the wagon. :(
so here's what Im going to do this week::
Monday- Run (3-5miles)
Tuesday- gym (weights, and stair master?)
Wed- Run (5-7miles)
Thursday-gym
Friday--one of these days I have soccer. It maybe saturday so I will be running one of these days probably 4-6 miles. then soccer
Saturday
Sunday
my goal is to get back up to where I was! then next week I will be back on track, with even more miles added.
And now this blog is up to date: time for today:
Happy Easter. I opened this morning with lovely tiffany! :) A very wonderful open! And smooth day over all! I was even let off early!! :) So since i was off early I had time to surprise grandparents at church today! They were shocked! It was nice seeing people I used to see. BUt the church has gotten a lot smaller when I was going there. The message was good, talked about prayer, and a little bit of Jesus and how he died for us and risen days later. It wasn't the easter message I was hoping for but it was still good. As I sat listening, I remembered why I slowly stopped going there. Lack of people my age, (now it's all older people), preacher different, (the guy this morning was a little boring-dry- and drives me nuts how he can't say things correctly (like ask sounds like ax) and plus he was saying he had to clear things up before he started-now wouldn't you do that during the announcements and just start teaching?? oh well. ), old hymns (sounds good but old English words), It was good being there, but I didn't get that feeling of being up lifted like I do when I go to other churches. But over all it was good! Made grandparents happy, and i was able to attend a church even tho I was 10min late.
Then went to my aunts with so many family, friends, and visitors all joining together to share food and good times! :) But boy after eating great food, I was very sleepy. When I got home, I was so tired I took a lovely hr half nap!! :)
so Happy easter and I hope My updates are more then less often!!

12k race, WHAT a ride!
Today was the day, I have been training for for a month or so. Today was the day i was going to run a 12k (about 7.5miles). I saw this race on line and thought hey this will be fun, so I signed up. And I was hoping more of my people that I ran with would run. So tiana mentioned she was going to and same with brian. but as it got closer, the weather was suppose to be horrible so tiana was going to back out and so she did. :(
so now it was just me. I was so nervous this morning. I woke up ate some breakfast, and got ready. We were ready to leave by 720 and got there at the race in renton at the landing at 810. on the way up it was raining as usual for races, but weather gods were nice and it stopped raining, and no wind either! SO it felt just like the last race i ran last year the 10miler on in gh. so the Race started at 9 with no rain!. I got my picture taken with the seahawk bird man :) And then it was time to line up and start the race. Paul and I line up together but we knew in the end we would be on your own. So I started back at the 9min pacers. but to be honest once I crossed the clipped time thing i pushed myself through the people to get where i wanted to get to. I kept my pace pretty well around 7:45-8:20. So i was pretty proud of what I was running. I didn't experience any pain (minus my ankle which was kicked last night from soccer), which is a good thing, but I did end up getting warm but i just kept running past people. We ran around the landing, down the street, to where the seahawks practice at, and back around the landing to the finished line! The place where they practice at was so cool, the blue sounders? were there playing music and it just felt amazing being there and experiencing this. At that moment I instantly felt more energy and just kept going back to the finish line. Let me tell you this: that last mile from 6-7 felt so long! And then 7 to the finish line was even longer. My nike sensor and the mile markers didn't match up so i never knew when to really start run faster. Finally the light at the end of the tunnel had appeared: The finish line, I instantly started to pick my speed up and finished on my phone saying 1:09:45 so not bad. but my official chip time was 1:08:23! I was very proud of what i have done.

runners in the 12k: 1370, = 580/1370
females: 180/778
females in my age group: 16/64
over all not bad at all! I will be looking forward to more races, alone or with people but Im ready no matter what. June5, half marathon and I will face eachother.

Yes blah is correct:
I was very happy to get michelle's lovely virus.. Thanks michelle. It started yesterday, I was at work, and then it started, I wasn't feeling well at at.. But i knew I had a few more hours left and IM home free. So i kept it cool. I felt like i wanted to throw up.. (thanks michelle once again..) But let's just say, I never did ..thank god! So i went to get a movie right after work, and went home to nap. A nice 1hr 30min nap! :) it was much needed, still not feeling the greatest I popped in the movie the "tourist" ( not the greatest--thank goodness for 1dollar rentals.) Then i took another lovely nap! Now two naps in a day isn't common for me so I know i wasn't feeling 100% my self. I also had to go to happy hour with friends, so I actually went, feeling better but not 100%. As soon as I left dinner, I went to get another movie and returned the other one. And I went right into my pjs, and it was only 7pm. I know I know lame huh. I then just sat on the couch the rest of the night, went to bed at 10 and slept!! Thanks starbucks, i was up at 430, 515, 645.. a nice way to sleep in on my day off.. but i stayed in bed until 830, (yes i went back to sleep) and got up feeling not 100% but more like 90%! Watched "love and other drugs" (good movie!) and meet sara for coffee. At this point I was feeling still 90% but not 100%. I forced my self to the gym My plan was to run 7 miles .. but that didn't work out. so I biked for 6 miles and walked/jog one mile. After the gym Im feeling 95% better. thank goodness 12 hr bug, didn't last long! And once again thanks Michelle.. :p

Hello!
Wow, It's been a long since I have wrote on here. opps. I guess that's because I've been busy. "alyssa what are you doing that's making you so busy?" (you might wonder). So let me answer that question::: Today was my 5th open in a row and had 2 other shifts = 7 days of work in a row. So i go to work, go home take a nap, work out, watch some tv, make dinner, go to bed. and it starts all over again. SO today no fooling around, 1030am came and I left. :) I wasn't feeling that great but I went straight to red box and rented a movie, went home took a hr half nap ate some food, and relaxed. I loved it. i watched the tourist and it was okay. ANd later happy hour! :) I can't wait.
Well I have my first running race this sunday, Im getting scared. but I know i can do it. it's a 12k. (7.5 miles) and my pace is doing well. I ran the other day, and I ran 5 miles in about 40 min. :) thats pretty good for me. I will let you know what my time will be on sunday. I just hope I can focus!! :0
